US & Israeli Forces Hold Joint Emergency Rescue Drill

“Countless rescue and humanitarian aid missions in disaster regions all over the world have made the IDF experts in emergency relief.

On May 15th, 2012 Israeli and US forces held a joint emergency rescue drill. Together, they trained how to extract injured victims from a collapsed building, to clear paths through debris and to navigate in the chaos that is left by a natural disaster. The IDF plans to hold similar drills each year with teams of the US Armed Forces, in order to pass on their knowledge and prepare for future disasters.”
